Welcome to Waipara School
Hi there! This is a website about all the great things going on in our fantastic school.
Waipara School is a full primary school, Years 1-8. The school is nestled in the rolling hills of the Waipara Valley. The town is situated approximately sixty kilometres north of Christchurch, New Zealand. Waipara was once a railway town with dry pastoral land, but is now a burgeoning viticultural and horticultural area.
Waipara School’s families come from the Waipara Village and the surrounding farming enterprises. The community is very supportive of the school and they want the best educational opportunities provided to their children. Many of these are provided by the PTA – our school’s fundraising body, who provide many things for the children.
Children benefit from good quality teaching and stimulating learning experiences. The classrooms are bright, attractive and welcoming. Teaching and learning programmes have a strong emphasis around literacy and numeracy. Read more
