WAIPARA RIVER STUDY FOR WAIPARA SCHOOL

Taking advantage of the fact that the river is in our own backyard, the whole school descended upon the banks of it and sifted through the waters to see what lived in there. Finding live flies, larvae, worms, snails and caddis amazed us and let us know that our river is in reasonable health. The clarity of it rated as good as well. Even though it was very windy, we all had a great time. Thanks to Jocelyn Papprill from ECan for accompanying us on this day - and supplying all of the bits!
