Resplendent in our new kapa haka uniforms, kindly supplied by KaniKani Kids in Otaki with funding from the NZ Communities Trust, the Kate Valley Landfill Community Trust and our BOT funds, Waipara School rocked!!! Funding from Creative Communities NZ assisted in providing Kapa Haka tuition from Matua Rihari Walker. The whole school sang waiata, He Honore, we did our signature waiata, Waipara E, E Rere Taku Poi had the girls centre stage and then the boys finished the performance with a rousing haka, led by Loncey Maaka. Rapturous applause followed the presentation. Well done Waipara School!
