Ella and Rosa opted to go and find out more about the work that our BOT Chairperson, Victoria McGuckin, does on a daily basis. They returned with ‘eyes as big as saucers’ and learned heaps. All of the Tarata and Kanuka children headed to parents’ workplaces during last week. A massive thanks to all of the parents, who gave up their time and showed the children what their job entails. Thanks to Julie-Anne Pringle, Isobel Whyte and Deb Dellaway-Curtis for transporting the children to the various workplaces. Everyone has learned heaps on the way and this week, the children will be working in their groups, to determine a way of presenting their findings. These will be shared with the whole school. A very successful unit thus far for us!
